Meg Lota Brown

Meg Lota Brown is a scholar of early modern literature and culture. She focuses on Reformation politics, marginalized populations and social constructions of gender in Renaissance literature. Brown has authored or edited four books and numerous articles on early modern and medieval literature, science, art, theology and education.  

As associate dean of the Graduate College, Brown develops professional development resources to support students’ academic and professional success and to enable them to thrive. As associate vice provost for academic affairs, she works with academic departments to assess and improve all aspects of their programs.

Brown has received numerous university teaching awards and recognition for her research, service and leadership.
