2024 Distinguished Mentor Award

"Mentoring students and faculty and helping faculty with their career trajectories is one of the most rewarding things I do at the university and where I feel that my work has real impact. I am honored to receive this award and so very grateful to my wonderful colleagues for nominating me for it."

Dr. Triadan's research interests focus on the study of the sociopolitical development of small sedentary societies and societies that were more hierarchically organized, as well as prehistoric economic systems. To pursue her research interests, she has been conducting extensive field and laboratory research in the American Southwest and Mesoamerica.
